Mail setup — jelia.nyc

Settings for any @jelia.nyc mailbox.

📱 iPhone, iPad or Mac — one tap

Installs the account automatically. Your password is not in the file — the device asks for it during setup.

iOS will say the profile is Unverified. That is normal for a self-hosted profile — it only means the file isn't signed by a certificate authority. Install it from Settings → Profile Downloaded.

Username	your full email address
Password	your mailbox password
Incoming (IMAP)	`mail.jelia.nyc` port `993` · SSL/TLS
Outgoing (SMTP)	`mail.jelia.nyc` port `587` · STARTTLS or port `465` with SSL/TLS
SMTP authentication	Required — same username and password

Thunderbird and Outlook configure themselves — just enter your address and password.

🩺 Trouble?

Nothing connects	Some networks (offices, hotels, a few home ISPs) block mail ports. Try cellular with Wi-Fi off — if it works there, the network is the problem.
Password rejected	The username must be the whole address, not just the part before the @.
Receives but won't send	SMTP authentication is switched off in your client. Turn it on and reuse the same credentials.
